Hello everybody
I would be very thankful for some advice concerning my mediation analysis with AMOS. I am doing a single mediator analysis (A--> B --> C). I requested squared multiple correlations to assess the R^2 (the amount of criterion variance accounted for by the predictors A and B). I am wondering what the estimate of the squared multiple correlation for the endogenous variable C exactly means in the case of mediation. Is it the amount of variance explained by A and B or is it the amount of variance explained by A and B controlling for the shared variance of A,B,C (usually the small overlap area of A, B, C in the middle of the VENN-diagrams).
I would be extremely grateful for any advice!
Thank you very much in advance....
